Local 38 proudly staffs the following theatres in Detroit - The Detroit Opera House Home of the Michigan Opera Theatre, it's been cited as "one of the city's cultural jewels." The Fisher Theatre Situated in the heart of Detroit's New Center area, this fabulous theatre continues to host the finest theatrical productions in the United States. The Fox Theatre Built as a movie palace in 1928, the Fox remains one of the most beautiful theatres in the world. Meadow Brook Theatre Founded in 1967, Meadow Brook Theatre is Michigan's largest Non-Profit reginal professional theatre. MBT locally produces 6 to 8 productions each season. The Music Hall Center Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts stands at the gateway of downtown Detroit's entertainment district as the last-remaining legitimate stage theatre in the area. Detroit Symphony Orchestra Hall Constructed in 1919, the hall has been fully restored and modernized. It is the home of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and shares its roof with the new Max M. Fisher Music Center.
